The Artist

Island Films is the work of a single photographer based in the British Virgin Islands. The images are made from a Cessna 172, a Boston Whaler, and a free dive — wherever the light and the geography demand.

The BVI is a particular subject: fifty or so islands across thirty square miles of open water, most of them uninhabited, most of them unreachable without a boat. The work is an attempt to document that geography before it changes — the reefs, the wrecks, the uninhabited cays, the regatta courses.

Every print in the collection is a limited edition, editioned and signed before issue. When an edition is gone, it is gone. There are no open editions and no reprints.

Print Production

All prints are produced by WhiteWall in Germany — the only lab in the world to carry both the DIN ISO 9001 quality management certification and the Fine Art Trade Guild's highest certification for archival standards. Prints are produced to order, inspected by hand, and shipped in custom-built frames or tubes depending on the format.
